Mac’s international involvement in theatre design has taken him around the world.
After graduating from the Taiwan National Academy of Arts, he was offered the position
of Stage & Technical Manager of the Singapore Practice Theatre. 1996 he returned
to Malaysia to take up the position of Lighting Director with ASTRO. Mac became a
full time Theatre and Lighting Design Consultant in 1998. His exposure in international
theatre has further established his credentials. His works in lighting design and
theatre production had spread over Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan,
USA, South Africa, and Australia. He has been the Lighting Designer for the Singapore
National Day Parade Show since 2009 as well as the Technical Director for the Monster
Show at Universal Studio, Singapore and many international concerts like Super Junior

From 2002, Mac has received many awards in Malaysia and Singapore to celebrate his works in stage lighting design. In 2006, he was awarded the National Arts Awards Malaysia for his achievement in Theatre Design. He is a proud member of OISTAT (International Organization of Theatre Architects, Scenographers and Technicians) under UNESCO.
